As I began to use it on my Alaskan Moose hunt, I began to appreciate all the features that come with this pack. The biggest advantage the pack has is that it makes gear more accessible. With five pockets, it is easy to place items in different spots and be able to find them easily. The pocket zippers come with extra large tabs the make it easy to grasp even with gloves on. I was using Swarovski 8x30 binoculars that easily fit in the front side pocket. I put snacks in the other side pocket for easy access during the day. As the days warmed up, I shed layers and it was easy to strap the coats and my outer pants to the top of the pack. I also was pleased with the weight capacity of the pack. With a days worth of water, food and gear, I was probably carrying 25-30 pounds of weight in the pack. It was easy to switch the load from hips to shoulders as we walked. When we sat down to glass a valley the pack made a nice backrest without taking it off. The Alaskan September weather gave the pack fabric a good test and it passed with flying colors. The fabric was quiet as we crawled through the thick brush near the rivers. I used the pack for 10 days in Alaska and for 6 days on a Utah elk hunt. The elk hunt was on horseback and it was easy to wear the pack while riding and then dismount and have everything ready to go while we hunted on foot.
